I love this book.
I borrowed the book, and a few other Nicholas Sparks, from Kathryn.
I fell in love with this book so much.
John is an angry rebel who joined the army to find direction in his life. On one of his leaves, he meets Savannah Lynn Curtis, with whom he falls in love with and changes his life forever.
The book was a total heartbreaker. The story goes on so beautifully, then begins to change route to the opposite, but there is a deeper meaning to everything that happens, whether or not it works for John. To the end part, no matter how wonderful she was, I really hated Savannah. She threw away a forever with John just to be comforted for the time being. But I admire John because in the end, he knew all that his love really wanted was to make sure Savannah was happy. So he let her go.
