We planned a Visitation at 4, Kezia, Nikki, and moi. I was supposed to go to Keeshia's earlier for a one-on-one but, see, IT RAINED. Really hard. And Papa wasn't around to give me a ride around. I don't mind commuting, and I love getting wet, but it's really inconvenient to walk around wet, heavy, and cold-prone.
Because of the unexpected rain and commute, which means traffic, I got there about thirty minutes later. Turns out most of us had to stall, because the rain was too harsh to walk and commute in. Oh, and on the way out of the jeep, the college guys riding kind of hit on me. At least they shouted out to the driver I needed to get down.
Well, most of the Visit groups were just chatting around. We kind of gossiped around, took pictures, and stared at the rain.
Note to self: get pictures from Kuya Rommel.
When the rain stopped, Nikki wasn't able to come, and Maam Merlie came in with Yakki, so Yakki went with us. We visited 3 people: Angel in Bajada, who was asleep; Someone in El Rio, whose name I forgot but was out; and Celine, still in El Rio, who was the only one home (finally). Since Kezia picked the people I was kind of surprised that Yakki knew her, but then again, you know, City High people. ;) We chatted with Celine, I think, for an hour. You wouldn't exactly assume from the moment you meether just how fun she is. She is so cool.
On the way to El Rio, the roads were so
flooded. A car from the other lane splashed water on the tricycle we were riding, water right on our backs. It was a little, and we didn't really mind much. However, this Pajero overtook us and splashed water right on our faces!!! We were so wet from that, added to the fact that we walked in the rain with almost useless umbrellas and our skirts were heaving down, and we were wading in muddy water. I would have actually liked the wading part without the typhoid scares.
Anyway, we dried off a little at Celine's, but decided to take a cab back to the church instead. :]
When we got there, siopao and Coke were waiting. Weee. Although I wish I could have gotten more than one.
So we made 3 visits, 1 slight promise, 1 promise, 1 not at home. And chilly clothes.
Yakki and I took the jeep home around 9pm. On the way to the corner near City Triangle, we met Mea and Delben. ;) I really missed hanging with them. And on the 40 minutes home, I realized Yakki and I have a lot in common. But I don't count we'll be really close anytime soon. She's really fun, and it's absolutely stunning how alike we are. But I don't think we really fit together as far as real close friends go.
And my flipflops were rocking today!!! Who thought buttons were such great flipflop designs?
