Last night I saw Stranger than Fiction. I love it. It's about Harold Crick, played by Will Ferrell, who has this most monotonous, almost unvaluable life, when he suddenly keeps hearing this voice, like someone was narrating his life in a storybook. He becomes alarmed when it mentions that little did he know, all would lead to his imminent death. In another setting, tragedy author Karen Eiffel is writing another of her books. She always kills off her characters. She is in writer's block, and is finding ways to kill of the character of his latest manuscript. Harold, conscious of his limited time, dares to do the things he always wanted to and found a life. Finding it, he realized what life was worth. When he discovers Karen Eiffel on TV and realizes it is her who is dictating the events of his life, he tracked her down and asked her to change the ending of the book. Karen is shocked to find out that a real person exists whose life she plots. She is decided to change the ending, almost descending to madness when she realizes how many people she might have killed. Harold, convinced by a literary expert and by his own conscience, asks Karen to end his life because without the death the book would not be a masterpiece. Karen devises a plot that would have killed him, but almost miraculously save his life.
