Bleeeh!

We're going out to dinner in a while, but I'd just like to take this time to announce that Carly Smithson is OUT of American Idol.

And I'm all "YAAY!"

It must come as a real surprise that Carly's out. She's got one of the strongest voices and personalities in this season. Sure, she might not have won, but she wasn't expected to come out that early.

Don't get me wrong. Though I'm a huge David Cook fan (gushes) I'm not all-out against Carly. At least, not until last night.

It is Andrew Lloyd Webber Night. Syesha did an amazing "One Rock and Roll Too Many", Jason sabotaged "Memory", I forgot what Brooke sang but she did so unprofesionally when she restarted the song after two lines. David A did a hideous pop cover of "Think of Me", and David C did a marvelous "Music of the Night". Carly sang "Jesus Christ Superstar".

It broke my heart. Not because Carly was singing against the biggest person in my life, because she was Carly, but it hurt me to think people can just take Jesus Christ's name and trash it around. I meant to move to another channel or turn off the TV altogether, but I was so shocked and offended I watched the whole song with my jaw dropped. I didn't on this night's repeat--I skipped it and watched the first part of Spongebob Squarepants, then came back for Syesha's number. It hurt me too, to think that people liked Carly's performance last night, despite how it disgraced God. I also expected to see her SAFE tonight, because when that audience roared with approval, I felt my heart sink and knew this world was just so horrible.

But miracles happen over and over. Brooke and Jason had the worst performances, and I expected them to battle it out in the bottom. Butchaknowatt?!?!? They were safe. Syesha's blow-away performance made for the Bottom 2, and so did Carly.

I was shocked. Or more like amazed. Was it for real?

And because many people hated Syesha (I don't know, they must racists or something), I expected her out then. I wished with all my heart and soul it was Carly, but America was America.

And then, America or not, expected or totally surreal, Carly Smithson was disqualified.

And I was so happy. There goes my Almighty Father's power; over anything this world might throw.

"For they that hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord...therefore they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them."
-Proverbs 1:29 and 31
